Taylar Cassidy, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
Taylar is a Registered Social Worker with experience providing counselling services to individuals aged 4 and up. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Taylar is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families in building confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
With experience in schools, children’s mental health, research, and community settings, Taylar understands the unique challenges that children and teens face today. She believes that mental wellness skills are just as important as physical skills, and she is committed to helping young people develop tools they can carry with them for life.
Taylar integrates a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred approach, recognizing that every young person brings their own experiences, strengths, and perspectives to the counselling process. She prioritizes building a safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, meeting each person where they are and working alongside them toward their individual goals.
Taylar draws from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. By tailoring these approaches to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and goals, Taylar helps young people develop practical skills they can use in everyday life, whether it’s managing big emotions, coping with anxiety, building resilience, or developing a stronger sense of self.
Taylar’s goal is to make mental health conversations approachable, practical, and meaningful. She aims to help children, youth, and families feel more confident, capable, and connected while creating space for each person to feel heard, understood, and supported.
